Rambo Vom Zica Maradona was an exceptional Rottweiler and the son of Imperator Vom Haus Zschammer, the first Rottweiler to earn the prestigious World Sieger title in consecutive years (2013 and 2014). From his outstanding pedigree to his remarkable achievements, Rambo embodied the qualities of an elite working and show Rottweiler.
Highlights:
- Exceptional head type with a powerful, masculine expression.
- Rich, deep mahogany markings.
- Heavy, dense bone structure (130 pounds).
- Outstanding temperament developed through extensive training and early socialization.
Rambo was, without question, one of our most treasured Rottweilers. Throughout his career, he was shown extensively across Europe, earning numerous titles that reflected his exceptional quality and breed type.
In addition to his success in the show ring, Rambo excelled in working dog sports. He earned his IPO I title in Schutzhund before retiring from competition to focus on advanced home protection training. As he matured, he happily embraced the role of a family companion, often preferring to be a lap dog while never losing the confidence and protective instincts that defined him.
Rambo also played an important role in advancing the health of the breed. In 2016, his DNA was submitted as part of the research that led to the development of the standard genetic test for Juvenile Laryngeal Paralysis and Polyneuropathy (JLPP) in Rottweilers. At the time, JLPP was primarily associated with Terrier breeds. After a veterinarian recognized similar symptoms in a Rottweiler, researchers investigated further, and Rambo became one of the first North American Rottweilers to contribute to the scientific research. His DNA was submitted during the summer of 2016, and by October of that year, the University of Missouri released the JLPP genetic test that breeders continue to rely on today.
Rambo passed away in 2022 at the age of 11. His legacy lives on through his accomplishments, his contribution to the health of the breed, and the lasting impact he made on our breeding program. He will always be remembered as one of the greatest dogs we have had the privilege to own.
